A Comprehensive Inquiry with Proposed Solutions
Abstract
This paper aims to provide an in-depth analysis of the escalating issue of overcrowding in national parks and outdoor recreation areas in the United States. The research methodology employed a survey format, gathering responses from individuals with different levels of association with National Parks. Participants were asked to provide insights into their perceptions of overcrowding, its impact on visitor experiences, environmental preservation, the role of social media, and the dynamics between National Parks and local communities.
The survey incorporated a Likert scale to gauge the extent of agreement or disagreement with specific statements, allowing for a nuanced understanding of participant opinions. The inclusion of open-ended questions provided qualitative depth, enabling respondents to articulate their views and share unique insights.
To ensure a diverse sample, participants were drawn from various backgrounds, including regular visitors, professionals associated with park management, and individuals with a vested interest in environmental conservation.
